At Functional Cognitive Consulting, we are dedicated to redefining the approach to dementia care. Founded with a vision of compassion, empowerment, and personalized support, our mission is to guide individuals and families through every stage of the dementia journey with care and understanding.
Led by Barbara Van Nortwick, M.Ed., OTR/L, CDP, our team brings together a wealth of expertise in occupational therapy, dementia care, and care partner support. With a focus on fostering independence, enhancing quality of life, and empowering both care partners and individuals living with dementia, we offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
From personalized consultations and care partner training to support groups and educational workshops, our goal is to provide comprehensive support and guidance to families facing the challenges of dementia. By integrating evidence and skills-based practices, innovative techniques, and a compassionate approach, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.
